A farmer does not receive any benefit if he or she stops work mid-season.  Farming only makes sense if the full cycle of preparing, planting, growing, and harvesting takes place.  Why is this like Jesus’ Kingdom?  All of these aspects are important in Kingdom living:  decision-making initiative (preparing), making God’s word known (planting), discipleship (growing) and training/reproducing (harvesting).  May we not become stuck mid-season.
