This message will be the third in our Galatians series:  Faith-based living rather than Law-based living.  One of the strengths of the Church of Jesus Christ is the unity given to it by the Holy Spirit.  Though severely threatened, the unity of the original Apostles held.  Thanks be to God that we do have not 2 or 3 New Testaments or 2 or 3 Gospels.  Rather we have one New Testament and one gospel that it bears witness to.  Our cause is lost if we lose our unity.  Even though Paul had been preaching for 14 years he knew how important unity with the other apostles was because he wrote in Galatians 2:2 that he set before them the gospel he had been preaching for fear that he had run his race in vain.  If we don’t equally value the unity of the Lord’s church we “run in vain.”
