Focus: During the Season of Lent, we come together to remember Christ’s journey to the cross and the impact of his sacrifice. But we also recognize sin’s ability to overwhelm us; we recognize sin’s voice and our tendency to listen to this voice. In the temptation of Adam and Eve, we see the dangers of listening to sin’s voice; in the temptation of Jesus, we see the importance of preparing our hearts so that we can truly receive God’s voice.
