“Unsurpassed – Savior and Lord” is our current sermon series which looks into the book of Hebrews.  Seeing a shadow lets us know that something real is there.  Too often we live in the shadow of our faith and not in its reality.  Our faith must reach the heart, must be internalized.  When we really meet Jesus we are changed from the inside out.  The change that happened to the first disciples of Jesus is to be the experience of every disciple of Jesus.  The Peter of Acts is different from the Peter of the gospels.  What happened?  Peter left the old covenant and entered into what Jesus brought in the new…  “Hebrews 8:10 This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 11 No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. 12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
