As we celebrate Easter we praise the Author of Life who conquered sin, death and the grave.  But may we always remember how He did so.  The angels’ words to the women were:  “Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’”  Along with proclaiming that Jesus has risen they also mention the suffering and crucifixion on that first Easter morning.  We cannot ignore Good Friday as we celebrate the victory of Easter.  The song “By the Mark” has: I will know my Savior when I come to Him by the mark where the nails have been.
