It Is exciting to hear Jeremiah proclaim the promise of the new covenant:  "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time," declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 

At times our hearts can be so far from God’s heart.  We are often like Jonah… apathetic, passive, self absorbed…  Within this world of great need how can God’s people make a difference?  What is missing?  More than money, talents, abilities, energy… we need a change of heart;  our heart conforming to God’s heart.
