As we celebrate communion we see God’s abounding love and steadfast mercy.  Can you pray this prayer? “God, I am reminded today that you love me…. Really. You know exactly who I am – all my ugly thoughts, my mangled motivations, my pretending, my irrational fears, my pride, my unfaithfulness -  and you still love me. How can this be?  Yet it is true.  Amen.
