It may not correspond to popular belief and thought these days…. It may seem foolish to many… but Christ was crucified on a cross.  It was not pretend.  It was necessary.  God demanded it.  It was costly.  It was not nice.  It was ugly.  Thru it we are a forgiven people.  Thru it we are reconciled to God.   There are false gospels today that ignore the cross, ignore sin and whose followers pretend to be “nice” while never experiencing the redeeming power of God. 

It may seem foolish to some, but may we never lose Christ crucified.
