We are continuing our sermon series:  Hearing God through the Parables.  This Sunday our focus is the parable of the unmerciful servant.  The whole of Matthew 18 is about Jesus bringing a sin-conquering kingdom.  In His kingdom Jesus reigns, sin does not. We are called to be a sin conquering community...  a place of restoration and rescue.  God is the Redeemer and Rescuer.  As we sometimes sing… His grace is greater than all our sin.  This parable makes clear that part of receiving God’s grace is being a conduit of that grace to those around us.  If we refuse to forgive another we also refuse God’s forgiveness offered to us.
