We continue the two part sermon series:  What is the Trinity and why does it matter?   God is the great giver and His two primary gifts are Himself:  the gifts of Son and Spirit.  This Sunday we will look at God come to stay – The Spirit.  God is not a creator who creates and then like a clockmaker steps away for creation to run on its own.  God is not a savior who after delivering and redeeming us leaves only to come back at the end of the age.  Rather, God desires to and has come to live with us.  In the Old Testament we have Exodus 25:8, “… have them make a sanctuary for me and I will dwell among them.”  For us today, as New Testament people, we are God’s sanctuary… for our God who has come to stay.
