We are continuing our Faithful Stewardship series based on the Gospel of Luke. Money has many good uses (… as does most hazardous materials) but needs to be handled with care.  Its primary danger is in its deceptive quality.  The rich man in this parable was not on his guard and was deceived.  He tore down the barns he had and built bigger ones thinking that was the way to rest, provision and happiness.  Having wealth can deceive us into ultimately placing our trust in it instead of placing our trust in God.
