HEART MATTERS
We continue with the series, “Looking for the True King – 1, 2 Samuel.” After King Saul’s death David succeeded him, but not without much strife and bloodshed. God spoke to David thru the prophet Nathan about bloodshed: 1 Chronicles 22:8 - ‘You have shed much blood and have fought many wars. You are not to build a house for my Name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight. But to David’s credit one of the first things he did once established as king was to find and bring the Ark of the Covenant to his home, Jerusalem. During Saul’s reign the Ark was an afterthought. Not so during David’s reign. David had a worship-filled heart. Can we say the same?
