We continue with the series, “Looking for the True King – 1, 2 Samuel.”  God rejected Saul as king.  Samuel was crushed and thought “what a mess we are in now!”  God provides a way forward but to us it appears to make matters worse instead of better. God asks Samuel to go and commit treason by anointing another as king even while Saul was still alive and well!  God’s way of operating does not follow the patterns of our world or what we might think reasonable.  Isaiah 55:9 says, “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
