HOLY SPIRIT TRANSFORMING US
January 21 is a red letter day for our church. On January 21, 1525, in the midst of the Protestant Reformation the Anabaptist movement “officially” began. Mennonites are a part of the larger Anabaptist movement today. To recognize this “birthday” Mennonite World Conference has prepared worship resources with the chosen theme: Holy Spirit transforming us. The Holy Spirit is constantly at work, transforming and molding us into the life and ways of Christ. There are many different ways the Spirit works among us. We will be looking at four:
- The Spirit of prophesy (Joel 2:28-29)
- The Spirit of power (Micah 3:8)
- The Spirit of mission (Acts 1:8)
- The Spirit of reconciliation (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
John 14:18 says: "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” Let us welcome the presence and work of the Spirit of Jesus among us.
