“Unsurpassed – Savior and Lord” is our current sermon series which looks into the book of Hebrews.  We have seen over and over the good and sufficient provision in our great High Priest Jesus.  Now Hebrews continues in its later chapters along the lines of what our lived response is to be.  This passage calls us to keep on keeping on.  Life in the Kingdom is more like a battlefield than a picnic.  There are pitfalls such as developing an insensitivity to sin and losing our fear of God.  We are tempted to downplay and even forget how God has previously worked in our lives.  Instead we are to continue to trust, moving forward to the goal of our faith rather than retreat.
