For forty days Goliath daily defied Israel and challenged them to fight.  The Israelites were lined up but no one stepped out to meet Goliath's challenge.  Are we also living on the sidelines? It was not until David, who was running an errand, happened by that Goliath's request for a fight was granted.  David, far from perfect..., at least had a robust awareness of his covenant status with almighty God.  Do we?
