Matthew’s account of Jesus’ resurrection includes earthquakes, lightning, an angel rolling a gigantic stone and men falling over as dead.  It is no wonder the women left the empty tomb full of fear despite being told, “Do not be afraid.”  But Jesus wasn’t the only one raised from the dead on that day.  As the women were leaving the tomb Jesus suddenly met them.  And meeting Jesus was a life-giving, life-changing moment for those women.  Today we are also raised from death to life as we meet Jesus.
