On this 4th Sunday of Advent we continue our series, “On the road…”  In this passage we see God’s great plan of redemption taking an all important step.  The set time had come.  Gabriel came to Mary announcing her upcoming pregnancy and birth of Israel’s long awaited Messiah, Jesus… our and the world’s Redeemer, Savior and Lord.  In her pre-marriage teenage years this was not the time for her to be with child.  God’s plan was an interruption into her plans.  But when God’s plan and our plans collide will we like Mary say:  “I am the Lord’s servant.  May your word to me be fulfilled” ??
