This Sunday is Father’s Day.  The 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be held this year even though it is 2021.  The opening ceremonies, though smaller, will still include the lighting of the Olympic flame.  Even now the torch is making its way to the stadium.  The passing of the Olympic torch from runner to runner to eventually light the Olympic flame carries a lot of significance.  But even more important is the passing of the torch of Faith from one generation to the next.  Part of the team that passes this torch of Faith? … Fathers.  We may not carry out this calling with perfection.  In fact, there are sure to be stumbles along the way.  When those stumbles happen may God give us the humility to admit our mistakes and pick up ourselves again to press on in His Name.
