The report given to Nehemiah about how the people of Jerusalem and Judah were faring was not good.  What reports are we hearing about how the church in America (and Mennonite Church USA) is faring?  In general the picture is not pretty...  declining numbers, overall low morale, culture war fallout.  Is our response resignation?   Or is our response like Nehemiah's... seeking God, rallying others, rolling up our shirt sleeves?
