We are continuing the series:  Revelation – Jesus, the Overcomer.  Here in chapter 19 we have yet another chorus of praise around God’s throne.  One of the reasons for these Hallelujahs is that the Great Prostitute (Babylon) has been condemned.  This language points to the fact that our “world” has a seductive nature.  1 John 2:15 warns us:  “Do not love the world or anything in the world.  If anyone loves the world the love of the Father is not in him.  Jesus is our example in how we can be in the world and for the world but not love the world.”
