This is the final sermon of our series:  Revelation – Jesus, the Overcomer.  There are seven statements of blessing in Revelation.  These are like the more well-known beatitudes of Matthew 5.  However, instead of being compiled in a compact list, as in Matthew, they are spread throughout Revelation from chapter 1 to chapter 22.  That there are seven is no happenstance.  Having seven blessings emphasizes the completeness of the favor that God has for those who are His.  May these blessings instill in us the hope we need to walk thru whatever hardships and persecutions to come in faithfulness and patient endurance.  Amen.
