We continue with the series, “Looking for the True King – 1, 2 Samuel.”  One might say that the Old Testament story tells us what didn’t work.  God had a plan and purpose for His people, Israel but they clearly step away from that.  Here in Samuel 8 they ask for a king.  In doing so, they are rejecting God as their king.  The good news of the New Testament is that God offers once again to become our king.  What is our reponse?
