THE OVERCOMING LOVE OF GOD
For this 4th Sunday of Lent we are continuing to follow the theme of Refocusing, Returning, Repenting in the Psalms. Psalm 107 describes four different scenarios of peril… being utterly lost, being trapped-imprisoned, suffering physical affliction, being completely overwhelmed by circumstances. In each case, the distressed cried out to God in their trouble and God saved. Putting all four together the message is: no matter the kind or depth of despair God is always willing and able to save. His love for us is constant and overcoming.
