As Israel's first king Saul started well.  But God's plans for Saul were not fulfilled due to Saul's disobedience.  In our own walk with God we not only need to start well (believe) but we must also follow thru in daily obedience.  There are many Godly habits (Bible reading, prayer, gathering with others for worship, etc...) but the most important one of all is to obey Him.
