In this letter the Galatian church is being challenged:  You have traded the true Gospel for a second rate version!  Today’s church can do the same.  Is the salvation that Jesus brings an after-I-die reality and nothing more?  Not according to Galatians 1:4…   Jesus gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age.  This make clear that we are not only forgiven of our sins we are also rescued/delivered from them.  And this not for the sweet by and by but for now.  For we are rescued from this present evil age.
